she moved to Texas. She moved to Phoenix in 1948. During World War ll,
she was a US Government employee at Hickam Air Force Depot in
Honolulu. She also worked for the United States Census Bureau as a
supervisor and director in Arizona.
Phon and her husband George spent many happy years traveling around
the world and in their RV close to home.
Phon is preceded in death by her parents Dr. Willis J. And Ida Ray,
Dr. Ray was the founder and first president of Grand Canyon
University. Her brother Richard Ray, first husband Bill Erwin, and
second husband George Drake.
She is survived by Renee Drakovich and Stephanie Navarro and her son
Richard Kent Erwin, Grandchildren Thaisa and Royce Erwin, Jon, Joel,
and Nick Navarro and great-grandchildren Jillian, Parker, and Henley
Navarro.
Services will be at 2:30 PM, Monday, September 16th, at Green Acres Mortuary,
401 N. Hayden Road, Scottsdale.
