Louis Joseph Ricci, “Boss”, passed away peacefully while sleeping in his own warm bed on January 26, 2014. Affectionately known by his grandsons and their friends, “Gramps”, was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 16, 1931, to loving parents Egidio and Ada, who came to America from Italy in 1930. He graduated with a Business degree and proudly served in the Army for this Great Country, under God. In 1955, he married Toni Fuoco and together they had one daughter, Annamarie. They moved to Scottsdale in 1975 and worked together in their own business. Gramps, a baseball athlete, enjoyed playing and watching all sports. He was the center of our Universe, always had a big smile on his face and could light up a room with his gentle soul and kind presence. He never met a stranger and his family was his world. Lou lived with his daughter, son-in-law and grandson for the past 17 years. Watching his grandsons play baseball and basketball brought him immense joy. His strong Catholic faith and make-you-burst-out-laughing sense of humor resounded in his essence every day. There are no words to describe how much joy he bought to all of us and he will be greatly missed. Predeceased by his former wife, Toni, Lou is survived by his daughter, Annamarie, his 5 grandsons, Nick, Matt, Andrew, Christopher, and Zachary, his loyal, “best friend”, son-in-law, Jeff, and many special family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Wounded Warrior Program. Visitation is scheduled for 1:30 PM, Saturday, February 1, at Green Acres Chapel of Light with a Funeral service at 2:30 PM. www.greenacresmortuary.net
