Lupe M. Lucio

Lupe Montoya Lucio, age 79, passed away on Thursday, 21 April 2016 in Scottsdale, AZ surrounded by her loving family. She was born on 19 December 1936 in Thatcher, AZ to Sylvestre and Rufina Montoya. She graduated from Thatcher High School in 1954.

Lupe was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grand mother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She worked as an accountant through her early 70s. Although she had varied interests, her love was her family. Lupe married the love of her life, Rudolfo (Rudy) Lucio on 20 September 1957. She is preceded in death by Rudy, her parents, and siblings, Juan (Delfina) Montoya, Moises (Mary) Montoya, Carmen Torres, and Esther (Chester) Harper. She is survived by her children Dale (Donna) Lucio, Anita (Alan) Glenister, and Alan Lucio; siblings Mary (Steve) Lucio, Natalia (Mike) Vasquez, Margaret (Rudy) Dominguez, Larry Ramirez, Dr. Manuel (Jeannette) Ramirez, and David (Ivy) Ramirez; and grandchildren Candace, Maddie, Lauren, Katie, Kamille, Alexandra, Abbigail, Logan, Jessica, Madison, Joshua, and great grandchild Alexander.

Funeral services will be held for Lupe on Friday, 6 May 2016 at Saint Daniel the Prophet Catholic Church located at 1030 N. Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257. The Rosary will begin at 9:30 a.m., the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. and the Rite of Committal (rites at the cemetery) immediately following mass at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery located at 401 N. Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257. A celebration of Lupe’s life will be held at Anita (Liz) and Alan Glenister’s home located at 22729 E. Pleasant View Road, Ft. McDowell, AZ 85264.
