On December 1, 2019, Mark Neuberger passed away to join our heavenly Father.

Mark was 65 years old and was preceded in death by his wife Cari Gerchick. He is survived by his brothers Michael (Vicki) Neuberger, John (Kathy) Neuberger and Peter (Becky) Neuberger, his sisters Julie Erickson and Mary Neuberger, his nieces Claire, Amy and Anne, nephews David, Jon, Paul, Brian, Andrew and Scott and his in-laws Barbara and Bill Gerchick.

Mark was active in sporting events, cards and music. He was a U.S. Marshal for twenty-eight of his thirty-one year career. Mark was a Court Security Inspector in Phoenix for most of it. He loved talking about his career in federal law enforcement. People would enjoy listening to his stories from throughout his career. However, his first love was his loved ones.

A special thank you to the wonderful staff of Hospice of the Valley. Their compassionate and professional care was appreciated by Mark and his family. Funeral services will be held on December 21st at 10:00am at Green Acres Mortuary in Scottsdale followed by burial. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hospice of the Valley.

Sorry, to here about the loss of Mark, spent a great amount of time at there house, Holy Rosary, as young kids. Mark, Mike and I spent plenty of time playing sports, school for 8 years, learning sheepshead from their Dad, and so much time, felt like I was part of the Family. Thoughts and Prayers for all the rest of your Family. Peterson Family in Detroit God Bless

Mark was an outstanding USMS employee. I worked with Mark in Houston when he came to work for the USMS and later when he worked the Galveston area. Mark will be missed by all.

Mark, you were the best! Mike, he was a great partner to work with who had such a great personality. Mark was in the USMS academy class ahead of me and I along with several others in Houston were sent to the next class at GLYNCO, Ga. I was sorry to see him leave Houston for his final position as Court Security Inspector but wished him well. He passed away too soon! I will miss him. All the best to his twin brother Mike and the rest of the Newberger Family.

Mark, You were a great and loyal friend during our years in the U.S. Marshals Service. You are the only person, I believe, I never heard anything derogatory said about. You were well respected by all. Rest in Peace. Lee, Retired USMS.

Mark was a wonderful, compassionate person. I was overjoyed as he officially became my nephew as he married my beautiful and talented niece Cari. This fantastic couple saw me through some of the most difficult and joyous parts of my life. I will never forget how Mark always treated everyone he knew with kindness, consideration and respect. He even came to my classroom to talk about his brilliant career. My students were spellbound. The most outstanding aspect about Mark was his wonderful attitude. All day long the tune and words “I’m gonna live til I die” played over and over in my heart. Mark lived his life to the fullest and never stopped believing that any situation could be dealt with in a positive fashion. He was an inspiration to all.
