Martha E. Moloney

Martha Ellen Moloney of Gilbert, Arizona, passed away June 29, 2014 at Desert Banner Hospital in Mesa. Born in Henderson, KY, she was 76. Martha will be remembered for her devotion to family, friends and faith. She is preceded in death by her late husband James (Jim) Moloney. She is survived by her two sisters; Marjorie “Nell” Burchell and Dorothy Green of KY. Martha graduated from ASU with a teaching certificate and minor in Music. She taught mostly 3rd grade elementary in the Tempe School District, retiring in 1990. She loved to play the piano, writing her own music, writing poems, creating drawings and paintings, but her passion was found in volunteering for Senator John McCain, Congressman Matt Salmon and lunches with the Mesa Republican Women. She was a faithful Christian and member of Sun Valley Church of Christ in Gilbert. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 5th, viewing 9:30am, memorial service 10:00am at Sun Valley Church of Christ, 1015 N. Recker Rd., Gilbert, AZ 85234. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Copper Basin Bible Camp, 5225 E. Camelback Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85018 would be greatly appreciated.
