Mary S. Brumm,86, peacefully completed her earthly journey on October 9, 2012, and was welcomed to her home in heaven by her beloved Lord and Saviour where she is reunited with so many loved ones in joyous celebration. She was born in Mansfield, Ohio and graduated from Mansfield Senior High School. After spending a couple of years living in Los Angeles, she moved to Phoenix in 1946 where she worked alongside her family in owning and operating a laundry. In 1955 she married David Brumm, her loving and devoted husband of 57 years. She lived a varied and fascinating life; spending 5 years as a missionary in Papua New Guinea, conducting women's Bible studies and marriage seminars, traveling the world and making countless friends whom she loved deeply. In her later years she spent much time gently mentoring younger women by sharing her unique wisdom and rare insights. Her greatest passions, however, were her family, most especially her grandchildren, and loving God by lovingly serving others. She is especially remembered for her steadfast faith in God, her deep joy in spite of many personal hardships, her selfless giving and genuine caring, and her lifelong joy in loved ones. She is survived by her husband David, her sons Thomas and Timothy, her adored grandchildren Andrea', Danielle, Krystle, Kelvin, Connor, and Madison, and her brother Richard as well as numerous nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her father Daniel, her mother Anna, her daughter Rebecca, and 8 siblings.
A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date by her family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Hospice of the Valley.
Upon You have I leaned and relied from birth; You are He Who took me from my mother’s womb and You have been my benefactor from that day. My praise is continually of You. -Psalm 71:6-
