Mary Evalena Saylor “Evie”, 90, passed away on September 13, 2017 in Tempe, Arizona. Evie was born in Pawnee Buttes, Colorado on September 20, 1926. Evie was a loving and wonderful homemaker who loved being a wife and mother. She was also the proud owner of Artistic Yarns and Knit Shop in Tempe. Evie was a wonderful cook whose legacy in the kitchen will live on through her delicious recipes. She also loved flowers and gardening. Evie is survived by daughter, Cindy Carver (David Carver); Grandsons, Sean and Sky Reynolds; Son-In-Law, Mike Compton and multiple loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Clair Byron Saylor and her daughter Connie Compton. A Graveside Service to celebrate the lives of Evie and her husband Clair will be held on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Green Acres Cemetery in Scottsdale, Arizona.
