Matthew Natvig Bocchi of Phoenix, Arizona tragically passed away on February 9, 2026. He was born in Topeka, Kansas on May 30, 1981. Matt graduated from Phoenix Desert Vista/ Compadre High School in May 1999. He subsequently attended and graduated from the Arizona Automotive Institute in June 2004.
Matt worked for a time in the oil fields of Texas, New Mexico, and the Dakota’s. The greater majority of his work history however, was in the automotive industry, at various locations. He knew everything about cars. His longest tenure in the industry was an almost ten-year stint as a service writer at Right Toyota in Scottsdale, Arizona. He cherished his position there. He was a very accomplished and productive professional. It was there that he made many dear friends, co-workers as well as customers.
Matthew had three passions in life; the love and loyalty he had for his family, being a good father to his children and sports. One the sport side he had strong interest in motorcycle and car racing, above those interests however was his fanatical-loyal connection to the Arizona State Sun Devils and to the black and gold teams of the City of Pittsburgh, The Steelers, The Pirates and The Penguins, in that order.
Having and celebrating his children was the driving force in his life. He is survived by son Matthew Justin Bocchi age 22, Maizie Jayne Bocchi age 11, Maverick Joel Bocchi age 9, and McKenna Jade “Kennie BoBo” Bocchi age 6. His passion to be part of their lives was unmatched.
Also surviving Matthew are his parents Eileen and Don Bocchi of Chandler, Arizona; brother Joel Bocchi (wife Terah), nieces Grace and Reygan and nephew Beckett of Keller, Texas.
Matt strived to bring laughs, joy, smiles and good times to all those around him. A hole now remains in our lives that can only be partially filled by the memories of the enjoyable and sometimes unbelievable times we shared with him. In honor of Matthew’s memory, we will cherish these times forever.
