With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Meenu on March 2, 2026. Meenakshi was born on September 22, 1978, in Rohtak, India. She passed away surrounded by her loved ones after a long 5 year battle with ovarian cancer. Throughout her battle, Meenu exemplified courage and positivity that inspired everyone around her. In her life, she was a doting mother, dedicated daughter, loving sister, and dear friend whose light touched everyone who knew her. In all her roles, she acted as a rock to those around her. As a Hindu, Meenakshi dedicated her life to seva, service above the self.
Meenu was a successful CPA, who worked with major corporations in wealth management. She remained committed to her independence and her career to the very end. She was also the driving force behind the growth and success of her husband’s medical practice.
If one word should be used to describe Meenakshi, it is bhakti, or devotion. Meenakshi had an unshakeable devotion to the betterment of her community. She had an unrelenting devotion to raising strong, independent, and driven daughters that would carry forward her altruism. When Meenu first came to the United States, she was the eldest child of 4 in a newly immigrated family. She gave everything to support her family. At only 20, she worked a full time job, pursued her MBA, and cared for her integrating family. She inspired her siblings to dream bigger.
Meenakshi is survived by her two daughters Bhavya, 19, and Nishka, 15, her husband, 49, Akash. Meenakshi not only built a life defined by resilience and unconditional love, but inspired it in all those around her. The family will host a celebration of life on Friday, March 6th, 2026 at Green Acres Funeral Home followed by prayer services at Chinmaya Mission of Phoenix.
Meenakshi spent much of her life committed to the betterment of education for young people. One of the biggest projects born of this passion was A Dream And A Pencil, the nonprofit she helped her daughters create. Her wish was that her loved ones donate to the charity in her honor.
