Myrtle La Vonne Heun

She was born to parents Harry and Mable Demery and attended Fort Dodge Junior High School. Myrtle furthered her education in massage therapy, a field in which she excelled. Her career spanned over 50 years, during which she worked as a massage therapist and was also dedicated to the YMCA.

Myrtle had a zest for life, enjoying activities such as drinking beer, riding her bicycle, dancing, and spending cherished moments with her family. Her community involvement included being a member of the Payson Presbyterian Church.

Myrtle is survived by her son, Dennis Heun; her grandson, Nicholas Heun; three great-grandchildren; her sister, Patricia Kuban and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her grandson, Nathan Heun; her brothers Harry Jr., James, Robert, Colin, Gorden, Donald, Edgar, and Danny, and her sisters Hattie Ann, Helen, Mary, and Mabel Nadine "Dino."

A visitation will be held on October 1, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, located at 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257. The funeral service will follow from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, with a graveside service from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm at the same location.

Myrtle will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and the love she shared with those around her.
