Think of you often and the funny memories we shared

My memories of Pat are interwoven with Pierson and ASU football, and the years we sat in the same section and later across from each other in the North Reserved parking lot.  What can you say about a great guy who left us much, much too early.  I’m sorry I didn’t try to contact Pierson (Christian)earlier, but 2021 has been somewhat of a difficult year. I am hopeful Pierson will contact me because I know we’ll have a lot  to talk about. God Bless Pat, Stay Safe Pierson, and always,Semper Fi,

Pat and I first met in the fall of 1981.  We were part of the same TRW Material Management college hire program recruiting from Arizona State.  The facility is located in Redondo Beach, CA.   I was 2 class grades ahead of Pat, but we were eventually assigned to the same department supporting Mechanical Manufacturing for TRW's Satellite Programs.

The ASU connection  quickly developed our friendship.  
We went on many ski trips together, attended ASU football road games in LA.  We are also were basketball teammates in our companies adult leagues for several years, and we enjoyed many post game team meals and celebration's at our sponsoring bar.

My other memories include shopping  for and arguing  about new snow skis, double dating to the famous Plumb Tree Chinese Restaurant in LA, and the Bonaventure Hotel rotating restaurant, At work we would take long Friday lunches to Poncho's Mexican Restaurant in Manhattan Beach.  Pat also invited me to spend our Christmas plant shutdown vacation at his parent's home in Santa Fe, NM.  We spent the week skiing and enjoying the town.  With other ASU alums we rented a motor home and drove from LA to Tempe for a game.  There were many stories that came out of that trip.

Most recently 2018 and 2019 we enjoyed traveling to the home and way series with Michigan State were we got to know Pierson.  We had originally met him in Athens Georgia at the ASU vs. University of Georgia game  in 2008.   Pat raised and outstanding decent young man, and we will keep him and his family in our prayers.  As the Lord said; In My Father's house there are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you.  That is our hope in seeing Pat again.

So very sorry for your loss.  I have known and worked with Patrick for the last 27 years.  Pat was not only a coworker but a friend.  His fierce love for Pierson was at the core of who he was.  He is the best contracts person I have ever worked with hands down.  He was a gentleman with a great sense of humor.  I have very fond memories of many of the contracts we have negotiated, proposals we got done the the last minute and pranks we have played.  Pat always had my back and I hope he felt I had his.  I miss him dearly and know that this loss will be felt for a very long time.  I am so very sorry for your family's loss and hope that the love he had for you and the great memories you have will help you as you go through the heartbreak of his loss.  Kristine Carlowe

Patrick would come by our shop with Pierson and it was always a joy to have them. Patrick was always in great spirits and had a wonderful smile that just makes you want to smile back. A visit from them would really lighten up our day and he will be sorely missed by all of us here. 

I met Patrick when we worked together more than 30 years ago at Hughes Aircraft in El Segundo, CA.  When he moved to AZ, we mostly lost touch and reconnected about four years ago.  I still can’t believe he’s gone.  He had such a presence and a playful spirit…he was fun to work with and to be around.  We would talk about the things he loved, his son first and foremost, motorcyles, and his great fondness for watching reruns of The Rifleman 😊.  And he made sure I knew the things he hated, like lamb, goat cheese and parsley…notice those are all food…I think he wanted to make sure I never tried to get him to eat any of those things!  Politics, we finally decided we wouldn’t discuss.  😉  I will miss him very much and am so sad he left us so soon.  My deepest sympathies to Pierson, Brigitte, John and the rest of the family.

For 10 years now I’ve had the privilege and honor of calling Pat & Pierson both my friends and part of my family I’ve watched Pierson grow to the man he is today because his father/ best friend was there every step of the way with support , love and companionship in the journey . Pat and I got along so well because well we are from the same cloth we enjoyed laughing , joking , speaking our mind and most of all Pierson. While Pat is gone he will live forever within my heart and I know he’s looking down and he’s proud of the Man he created. Pierson you will always continue to be a part of my family.

Worked together for many year through Moto, GD, mergers and many company changes. Pat always had a smile and kept a great attitude. He was always proud of his son and  a very dedicated Dad. I am so sorry to hear about his passing. My condolences to his family.

Dear Pierson and Family,
Please accept our sincere condolences on the loss of Pat.  He was such a great person to be around. Pat touched all of our hearts as evident in other posts.  He enjoyed a good practical joke (usually focused on someone that attended UofA) and  brought in others to help. The pranks were  as good natured as Pat was.
Pierson, your dad spoke of you often and with pride.   Please find some comfort in knowing the full depth of love your dad had for you.

Dear Pierson and Family,
Our sincerest condolences to you all.  I knew and worked with Pat for many years during his Moto/GD time as our offices were in the same area.  Pat was always so very helpful when I needed his expert advice. He was also fun to work with.  He was extremely dedicated to the company and all it stood for.  We both had boys about the same ages, shared a love for ASU football and exchanged numerous stories of our boys over the years.  I heard many stories of Pierson growing up.  As such, you could easily tell how proud he was of you, Pierson, through the twinkle in his eyes when he spoke about you.  Your Dad loved you so very much.  

Praying that God’s loving comfort and peace will surround you all and that He will grant each of you the strength and courage to face the days, weeks and months ahead.  May God bless you all.

My heart is beyond broken... Patrick was a dear friend and coworker during my many years at Motorola. I never met anyone like him again, a true friend! We helped eachother, we argued and we laughed, sometimes all in the same hour. I am sorry so many years past us before meeting up again Patrick, you have been and will continue to be in my heart where I hold my dearest friends. Pierson and family of Pat,

My deepest sympathies on the loss of a great father, family member and friend to all.  I have had the pleasure of knowing Pat for just under 40 years, starting in 1982. Over the years I’ve participated in numerous ski trips, ASU football games and other social events with Pat and other mutual friends. I first met Pat after he returned from a ski show at the LA Convention center with another mutual friend of ours. Pat was beaming from buying a new pair of skis.   A large group of individuals who would become long term friends started our careers at TRW in Redondo Beach, California.  Our group of friends was primarily a bunch of Arizona State and Michigan State fun loving alumni.  Within the last 7 years Pat and I have worked for the same employer, which has been fantastic to be able to engage with Pat at that level.   It is amazing the path where time leads us.  Pat will always be a dear friend of mine.  My thoughts and prayers are with you in this very sad time and loss of a very great guy.

Dear Pierson,

Sending thoughts and prayers to you over the loss of your father.

Pat was a good friend of mine.  We worked together for 20 years at Motorola and General Dynamics.  We worked in the same department and our offices were side by side for may years.  We also bonded over our sons both playing football.  Your dad was extremely proud of your accomplishments academically and athletically.  We used to joke about a player I coached in little league that went to Brophy Prep with you when you were a Freshman  (Kalen Debosky – or “Lightning”).  Those were fun times and good memories with your dad.

I hope you take solace in the fact that no matter what happened in life, your dad loved you and you brightened up his world.

Patrick, I will miss our spiritual, fun, and funny talks.   I loved when you called me "kiddo" even tho I'm just a few years younger than you were.  RIP my friend 

For Pierson and family my deepest sympathies to you in this time of sorrow. I will always treasure the friendship that I had with Pat and my time working with him. He always brightened my day when we talked. I will miss him greatly.
