

Phyllis Marie Haley Lymer, 75, passed away on April 5, 2012, in Mesa, Arizona. She was born in Sioux City, Iowa on April 20, 1936, to Richard and Dorothea Haley. She attended nursing training at Methodist School of Nursing and Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa. She graduated with her nursing degree in 1957, and then moved to Phoenix, Arizona with her husband Bill Lymer. Soon after they arrived they welcomed the arrival of their first child, Kendra Kay Lymer (Neely), and then Scott William Lymer arrived in December 1959. She began an extensive nursing career that spanned over 55 years. She served as an officer in many service organizations throughout her career. Phyllis never had a complaining word about her work. Everyone who worked with her or received care from her was blessed by her loving kindness and willingness to help others. She is preceded by her parents. She is succeeded by her loving husband, Bill, of 57 years; daughter Kendra Neely; and son, Scott Lymer. Her children, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren have been blessed by her life and will remember her always for her unwavering faith, joy for life, and tremendous love for her family. The family asks that in lieu of flowers please make donations to your favorite charity. Services are scheduled for 2:30PM Friday, April 13, 2012, at Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N Hayden Rd, Scottsdale, Arizona, 85257.
