

Richard Keane Rennells “Rick,” 62, of Maricopa, Arizona, passed away January 3, 2017. Rick was born in Santa Monica, California, and spent most of his life in Arizona where for 25 years he worked in operations at Quaker State Oil, then in distribution for Paddock Pools, and most recently at Norris Pools. Rick loved dogs, taking long drives, barbecuing, and hanging out with his family, especially his five grandchildren. He was also a super-fan of NASCAR and the Pittsburgh Steelers, classic cars, and classic rock. One of Rick’s favorite pastimes was waking up early on Saturday mornings to browse Phoenix yard sales looking for hidden treasures. He will be missed by many. Rick is survived by his daughter Heather Rennells Alfrey (Eric), son Christopher Rennells (Amanda), sister Nancy Ash, grandchildren Autumn, Everett, and Aidan Alfrey, Scarlet and Steele Rennells, nieces and nephews Kristy McCormick (Dan), AJ Rennells, Jessica Pickering (Chris), Jennifer Rennells (Nate Stanke), Ryan Ratliff, Matthew Ratliff (Brittany), and Emily Poos (Dan Keith). A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at Desert Breeze Park at 660 N. Desert Breeze Blvd. in Chandler, Arizona, on Saturday, January 21st at 11:00 a.m. Donations can be made in Rick’s name to the Arizona Animal Welfare League & SPCA (aawl.org).
