

Robert Bruce Malcolm, passed away on August 31, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on March 31, 1940, in Phoenix, Arizona, Bob was a third-generation Arizona native. He graduated from West High in Phoenix and furthered his education by earning both a Bachelor's and Master's degree from Arizona State University.
Bob enjoyed a long and fulfilling career as an engineer in the government electronics industry. He dedicated 43 years to his work at Motorola and General Dynamics, and was proud of his contributions, earning four patents during his tenure. Bob was also a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
Bob married his beloved wife, Kathleen, on February 13, 1965, at the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Phoenix, Arizona. Together, they raised two cherished daughters, Suzanne and Colleen.
Bob enjoyed hiking, especially in the mountains of Arizona, and would often hike on Wednesdays and Saturdays. In his earlier years, he was active with running, playing tennis, golf, and the card game bridge. A lover of travel, Bob and Kathleen explored the world on cruises, visiting destinations such as South America, Europe, and Iceland. An amateur photographer, Bob captured many of their travel memories through his lens.
Bob's adventurous spirit and love for his family were evident in all aspects of his life. He leaves behind his wife, Kathleen; daughters Suzanne Malcolm and Colleen Harrison (Ted Harrison); grandchildren Branan and Kennis Harrison; and many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Irene Malcolm and his sister, Lois Gemmell.
Services will be private. Robert Bruce Malcolm will be remembered for his dedication, love for his family, and love of nature and love of travel.
A Celebration of Life get-together will be planned for October at the family home.
