Born on July 24, 1954, Roberta moved to Arizona at age 2 and spent much of her life in Phoenix and Tucson. She pursued a career in nursing, dedicating herself to the care of others with compassion and expertise. Her work as a neurosurgery nurse at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles made a meaningful impact. Later, she returned to Phoenix and continued her service at the Barrow Neurological Institute until her retirement.
In early 2025, Roberta embraced a new chapter of life on the peaceful shores of Lake Chapala in Jalisco, Mexico. There, she shared her days with her former husband and close companion, Steve Greenberg. Immersing herself in the vibrant local culture, Roberta became involved in improv theater, supported the arts community, attended Jewish reform services, enjoyed the local cuisine, explored the environs, and lovingly cared for her dachshunds.
Roberta is survived by her brother, Mark Rubin; sister-in-law, Aura Rubin; niece, Arielle Rubin; and nephews, Aaron Blocher-Rubin and Alex Rubin.
May her memory bring comfort to all those who knew her.
A graveside service will be held at Green Acres Cemetery, 401 N Hayden Rd. Scottsdale, AZ on Friday February 13th at 10am.
