Vasant Jhaver Patel

Our mother, Dr. Vasant Patel, had a lot of roles in life but the one she valued most was Caretaker. She cared for her patients, her colleagues, her siblings, her husband, her children and mostly fiercely, her grandchildren. She was strong-minded, believed in her culture, stuck to her goals, and prioritized her family above ALL ELSE. As weak as her body was, her heart was stronger. We hope to all those that knew her, that you leave here today with a piece of her in your heart.

To our mom, who taught us that siblings are your best friends;

To my wife, who stuck with me through the worst of times to get us to the best of times;

To our Ba/Dadi, who NEVER ever missed an opportunity to spoil us;

To the fierce woman that made us all who we are today...

We love you, we miss you, we will never forget you.

Dr. Vasant Patel is survived by her husband, Dr. Jhaver Patel, her children Toral, Chetan, Parag Patel and Irene Lin, and her grandchildren: Sasha, Milan, Leena, Shaan, Zoe, Riya and Chutney. She also leaves behind her siblings: Jagdeesh, Sudha, Usha, Lina, Piyush, and a myriad of other family members.
