

She was among nine brothers and sisters. Her family resided in Seattle till sometime after her mother's death and then moved to a farm in Prosser, Washington where she grew up and graduated from Prosser High School. She moved back to Seattle where she taught ballroom dancing and met and married Herb Leake. For over 64 years they danced through life until his death in 2017.
Together they had 3 children, joined the Boeing Seahorses Skin Diving Club and were active in politics. She joined the PTA and was very active in the preservation of Seattle's Maritime history with Save Our Ships (SOS). After her father, Paul Lalka, passed Ann took over his role of playing Santa Claus for various organizations, with her favorite being the Ballard VFW of which she was a member.
Ann is survived by her 3 children, Linda Leake Walker, Pamela Leake Vogan and Craig G. Leake,daughter Linda Thornberry and stepdaughter Nancy Warren; 7 grandchildren, Jessica Earl, Joel and Jaime Walker, Matthew and Michael Vogan, Nicholas and Brooke Leake; and 4 great grandchildren, Madilyn, Carson and Marcus Earl and Tinsley Walker.
A celebration of life for Anna will be held Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Acacia Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 14951 Bothell Way NE, Seattle, WA 98155.
