Tony Milanes believed life was meant to be danced well—with polished shoes, impeccable timing, and sharp wit. Born July 5, 1940, in Manila, Tony was defined by discipline. Whether in his precise diction or his career in finance at PhilAm Life, he approached everything with professionalism and poise.
His greatest "dance" began when he met the love of his life, Leticia. After a whirlwind week of courtship, they married on January 29, 1966. Tony’s character shone in his patience; he insisted Leticia finish her education before they started a family, a testament to his deep respect and devotion.
As a father to Maricar, Che-Che, and Dennis, Tony was a tireless provider who viewed his children’s college degrees as his proudest legacy. He lived generously, ensuring his family always came first. A true enthusiast of the cha-cha and tango, he brought the same rhythm to his humor and his principles, teaching his children to always stand their ground.
Tony passed on January 12, 2026. He lived a life he called "well lived"—a beautiful choreography of love, laughter, and grace that continues through his family. We remember him as he lived: posture perfect, stepping gracefully into the next dance.
