Chuck Maryatt was born in Seattle on Jan. 12, 1925 to Roy and Charlotte Maryatt.

Today, January 12th, 2020 is his 95th birthday. Chuck was the third of five children. He went to Lakeside School, graduated from Garfield High then spend four years in the US Army Air Corps. He Married Shirley Elizabeth Ramaker and eventually became the father of three sons. After the Air Corps he entered the University of Washington and earned a degree in Economics. During this time he was proud to be a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He then went to work for his fathers company (which became Maryatt Industries) and stayed there until his retirement and the sale of the company in 1994. After Shirleys death in 2000 he was reacquainted with a lady that he was fond of from high school. In fact they had won a dance contest together! Six months later he and Kay Brinkley were married. They spent nearly 20 years together which were among the happiest years of his live. Other than being with Kay, Chucks happiest times involved boats of any kind, fishing for salmon, bird hunting, and golfing.

Chuck is survived by his two remaining sons, Gregg and Doug who will remember him for his quick wit, sense of humor and love of his family.
