

Charlotte Elizabeth Eidnes Hart was born June 28, 1923 in Merrill, Wisconsin and passed away on March 15, 2017 in Bellevue, Washington.
She was born to Reverend Carl G. Eidnes and Rena B. Larsen Eidnes; the fourth of five children. She was married to Paul William (Bill) Hart almost 58 years who passed away in March 2005. She is predeceased by her four siblings: Alpha, Ruth, Sally, and Carl.
Charlotte is survived by her children: Karen Hart of Bellevue, Washington; Cheryl Hart (Tom Becker) of Indio, California; Richard Hart (Robin) of La Quinta, California; and Julie Hart-McConnell (Tom) of Bellevue, Washington. She is also survived by grandchildren Cara Bartel (Zack), Matthew, Jenna, and two great grandchildren along with several nieces, a nephew, and their families.
Charlotte moved from Wisconsin to Minnesota when her father received a new parish call. After she graduated from Cook County High School in Grand Marais, Minnesota she attended the University of Minnesota where she played flute in the Concert Band. Charlotte joined the WAVES (Navy) in 1943 during WWII; she was stationed in New York City. On VE-Day she was among the throngs of people celebrating in Times Square. Charlotte was very patriotic and proud to have served her country during WWII.
After the war she returned to Minneapolis, met her husband Bill, and they started a family. While the children were young she began a life of volunteering with several organizations. Family meant everything to Charlotte. She showered her family with love, attention, good cooking/baking; The cookie jar was always full of homemade cookies.
Charlotte’s family loves her; will miss her; but know she is home with God and is saving a space in the church pew for us!
A visitation for Charlotte will be held at Acacia Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 14951 Bothell Way NE Seattle, WA 98155, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Monday, March 20, 2017.
The service will be held on Tuesday, March 21st, 2017 at 12:30pm; Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, 411-156th Avenue NE, Bellevue, Washington 98007.
