

Chris was born November 7, 1985 in Seattle, Washington. He was raised in Edmonds, Washington and attended Meadowdale High School. He graduated with honors from Cascadia Community College in 2011. Chris received his NASM Personal Trainer Certification in 2019.
Chris brought energy and laughter to those around him. He was incredibly intelligent and loved engaging in thought-provoking conversations. Chris lived vibrantly and was full of adventure. He spent most of his life near Seattle, Washington but traveled throughout California, New Mexico, and Texas for several years. He excelled in athletics from a young age, snowboarding, playing football, baseball, and basketball, and taking gymnastics, diving, and swim lessons throughout his childhood. As an adult, Chris was always active but he most enjoyed swimming, weightlifting, yoga, and cycling. He had a funky sense of style and could be spotted around town in his brightly colored or patterned cycling bibs.
Chris will be dearly missed by his parents Ray and Lise Pettigrew; his sisters Melissa Stobb (Richard), Julia Chen, and Madeline Keblusek (Matthew); his nephews Marcus Stobb, Franklin Chen, and Stanley Chen; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Robert and Marla Blaser, Ray Pettigrew Sr., and Robert and Sandra Hamack; and his cousin Emily Heiber.
