Claude Green Sanders

Passed away at home on October 4, 2011 with his family by his side. He was born January 25, 1931 in Virginia Mason Hospital, Seattle, to Bainbridge Island residents William Clair Sanders and Tracie Agnes Selland Sanders. The 4th of four children, he was named after his uncle and his grandfather.

His family moved to Seattle and he graduated from Lincoln High in 1949. He served in the US Navy for 3 1/2 years, then completed his education, graduating from University of Washington in 1958.

He and Marjorie Hartman married in 1959 and raised two children, Claudia and Marty, living in the same house in View Ridge for 46 years. He was employed for many years as a mortgage banker. In retirement, he enjoyed time with family and friends, playing his saxophone, swimming at View Ridge Pool, and driving his '66 Mustang.

Left to remember are his wife Marjorie, daughter Claudia and son-in-law Todd Kibbee, son Martin, and grandchildren Andrew and Hannah Kibbee, and Christopher Sanders. He will also be missed by extended family and friends.

Memorial services will be held at Acacia Funeral Home, 14951 Bothell Way NE, Seattle, Washington on Friday, October 14, 2011 at 1PM with a reception following.
