Cora Lasham

From a young age she was known for her talent with the art of doing nails & hairdressing around their neighborhood & did well enough to make money on her own. She briefly attended Centro Escolar University with the intention of graduating with a psychology degree. Her plans changed in 1980 by immigrating to the United States with her parents & siblings to reunite with her second oldest sister & niece; Magdalena & Mary. Once settled, she enrolled in beauty school, received her cosmetologist license in the fall of 1981 and on February 4, 1982 was hired by The Bon Marche as a hair stylist where she worked until Fall 2000. In 1986, she married Tomas Lasham, although divorced a year later, remained good friends until his death in 2001. After The Bon Marche, she worked at Mercy’s Salon in Downtown Seattle for a few years before deciding that she wanted to change careers & enrolled in AIATA school to become a travel agent. She was hired in 2003 by SkyWest Airlines until her retirement in 2018. While employed by SkyWest she lived in Santa Barbara, CA & Jackson Hole, Wyoming- both places gave her great joy of allowing her to travel all over the world & living her best life.

Cora is preceded in death by her parents Purificacion & Luzon, ex-husband Thomas, siblings; Magdalena, Eduardo, & Flordeliza, nephew Roberto (Bobby), & niece Mary Francesca. She is survived by her remaining siblings; Lourdes, Virginia, Asunción (Baby Ruth), & Restituto (Resty), her nieces & nephews; Dominador III, Eric, Annie, Zaldy, Paula, Edilyn, Patricia, Alexis, Sheena, Gary, Arleta, Helena-Grace, Remiligo, RJ, Aaron, Aileen. Her grand-nieces; Jeanne Dayle, Kristine, Nicole, Rachelle, Stephanie, Patrice Ahn, Felicity, Madison, Allysa Trize, Emberly, Olivia, Tamiya, Christina, and grand-nephews; Jon, Dominic, Jason, Christopher, Brandon, Adrian, Rowell, RJ, Emmanuel, Gio, Ian, Renzo, Jakob, Kennedy, Jackson, Lincoln, Tyler, Ezra, Jeremiah
