Dear Linh, Henry, and family-
Our thoughts, prayers, and love are with you during this time unimaginable loss of your precious Daniel.
We don’t know quite what to say and we grieve for you and with you.
Daniel is a beautiful soul who has touched so many people in all his interactions  during his life.  We hope the amazing memories and stories of his life will bring you some comfort.

Daniel was an amazing, thoughtful friend to my daughter and I will forever be grateful for their friendship. For years they did math FaceTimes late at night before a test and he somehow always had a Spanish test the next day as well, so my daughter would always bring the phone to me before closing off so I could wish him good luck (in Spanish) on his test. He said he always did better on the tests when I wished him good luck. 

A few months ago Daniel brought my daughter soft foods when she got her wisdom teeth out and watched anime marathons with her while she recovered. It’s hard to believe he won’t be coming by our house any more, offering to help in the kitchen and calling me Mrs. Jurado (I’m pretty sure he’s the only kid who ever called me that), but there are many reminders of him in our home. 

My heart goes out to all who are mourning Daniel’s loss, especially his parents.  Daniel was a kind person with many people who loved him.

Daniel was such a wonderful kid. He was deeply loved by our family and always will be. Whenever he spent time at our home, he was incredibly polite and helpful with everything. I also remember running into him at Safeway — he would always go out of his way to say hello, kindly referring to me as Mr. Jurado.

He even helped my daughter co-host my party and was an absolute delight to have there.

We are heartbroken by this news. My deepest condolences to his family during this unimaginably difficult time. We will forever hold Daniel in our hearts and remember him with love and beautiful memories.

I will miss you, Daniel. I first knew you as a kid at taekwondo, and later as a young man and a friend of my daughter. You always had a smile and a kind word. You had such a big heart and were always so helpful to your friends. Your kindness and warmth will not be forgotten.

I first met Danny at my daughter Lucca’s swim meet, where he arrived with a two-sided sign—one side cheering for her, the other for her friend, Grace.  His warm smile and easygoing nature made him instantly likable, and for over two hours, he cheered them on with enthusiasm.

Danny was the kind of friend every parent hopes their child will have, loyal, kind, and always bringing light into the lives of those around him. Our family loved him and cherished the moments he spent with us. He was always welcome in our home, and his presence made it brighter.

There are no words to fully capture this loss. Danny’s absence leaves an immeasurable ache, but we are forever grateful for the time we shared. His kindness, radiant smile, and generous heart made the world brighter, and his presence was a true gift. 

Rest in peace, dear Danny—you will never be forgotten.

Daniel was one the of the sweetest track teammates that I knew  and when I heard about his passing, it broke me to tears because I was in disbelief and I couldn’t believe because  at first I thought it wasn’t true but then I found out it was and it broke me down.. he was the best track teammate ever and I’m so blessed to have gotten the opportunity to be his friend and track teammate.. rest easy my brother and see you again up there someday 💔💔

I would like to say that I knew Daniel well . . . but the truth is, I honestly had mostly forgot about him before hearing about his passing. You see, I often have trouble remembering people that I haven't interacted much with . . . and because I was mainly involved in props, Improv and acting classes, I didn't see much of Daniel. But I faintly remember knowing him, and the knowledge that I may have forgotten someone who may have participated with me in some of the happiest moments of my life hurts me. I wonder how many other people like Daniel I may have forgotten, people who always reliably did their job, but who I never took the opportunity to truly know. Since I am unable to do so at this point, the most that I can do now is to give my condolences. I have it on good authority from the other condolences here that he was a nice person, as I would expect from someone in the IHS Drama Club, and I give my sympathies to his family and everyone else in Drama who is dealing with this loss.

Daniel was not only one of the funniest, but also the most caring people I've ever met. When I almost passed out in theater he immediately gave me his whole water bottle. He always knew how to make people smile with his sarcasm and humor. I know he gave all his friends the most amazing memories and I know that he will forever live on in our hearts <3

It’s difficult to put into words the sadness my family feels over the loss of such a remarkable young man. Daniel was a wonderful friend to my daughter throughout high school—kind, intelligent, respectful, and effortlessly funny.

Whenever he came to our home to visit, study, or just drop something off to cheer up my daughter when she wasn’t feeling well, it was clear how special he was. He had such a good, caring and uplifting spirit. I’m so grateful my daughter had a friend like him in her life.

I hope Daniel’s parents and family can take some comfort in knowing what a positive impact he had on the lives of those who were lucky enough to know him. He will not be forgotten. He will always be missed.

I first met Daniel at the elementary school bus stop in our neighborhood.  He always stopped to chat with us and was always kind,  sweet, polite and engaging with my husband and I.
It was neat to see him grow through the years.  I am so very sad to hear of his passing,  and am praying for comfort for his family and friends.

Daniel, or Big D as we called him on the JV tennis team, was one of the best doubles partners I had ever played with for his last year at Inglemoor. I had first met him at a tennis club and kinda just got to be friends through it. One of the best memories that I have with him was during a match, Daniel and I were the last match to beat the school we were playing. At this time, we didn't know that, so we kept on playing. When we had won our match, which was close by the way, our coach came over saying that we had won our match, winning for Inglemoor. I will miss Big D a whole lot, but knowing that he is in a better place has left me with some comfort that I know he would say something that was playfully negative, which is what we used to do to each other. Everyone on the team will miss you, Daniel.

Danny has always been one of the sweetest, smartest, funniest people I’ve ever known. I first met him in fourth grade, and we did martial arts at the same studio for a few years. It didn’t take long before we had some mutual friends and became relatively close. I’ve always adored spending time with him and his messed up sense of humor. He’d help me with homework, cuddle with my dogs, and had been there for me and so many others during our darkest times. My only wish was to have been able to return the favor and make it known to him how much he meant to me. This sweet boy was truly too good for this planet. Daniel radiated love everywhere he went and was so incredibly respectful and selfless. There was never a time I could say anything bad about him, he was truly that amazing of a friend. I’m so proud to have had you in my life Daniel, you have forever had a special place in my heart.

I had the pleasure of having Daniel in my 11th grade AP US History class. Daniel was both spontaneous, usually with some type of theater prop in his hand, and engaged in helping make sense of the world (e.g. he volunteered to coordinate our class' Tokyo Fire Raids mock trial). I cherish the memories of his presence and my heart goes out to his friends and family for this heavy loss.

Danny was one of the few friends I’ve made that I trusted wholeheartedly. We hung out almost every day through classes, clubs, and just casually. His funny, loyal, and kind personality got me through lots of times of struggle and despair. His supportive and creative nature helped me to find the confidence and motivation to work to achieving my goals. I only knew him for a few months while we attended college together, but he made my experience so much more meaningful.

Daniel was always such a nice guy and a true friend to me.  One of my favorite memories was during tech theatre in high school where a couple kids helped to dress him up as a mermaid.  I am really fortunate to have had him in my life and to have called him a friend.

Daniel and I had a tech class together where we dressed him up as a “mermaid bride” for a team building exercise. He helped bring our class together as not just a team but a family :)

Daniel always cared about others being included even when I was working at Panera and couldn’t go out with the group.

I am so devastated to hear about the passing of Daniel. Linh and Henry, sending you and your beautiful family lots of love and prayers. I had the pleasure of tutoring Daniel in elementary school. He was truly the most kind, caring, and bright student. May he rest easy.

I was fortunate to have Daniel in my math class his sophomore year at Inglemoor High School.  He was thoughtful, hardworking, and a great kid.  I am so sorry to hear of his passing.  My thoughts and prayers are with his mom and dad and  family.

Daniel was a stellar student in my course at OSU this spring, highly engaged in the content and friendly and welcoming to anyone he worked with.  He sat in the front row and I could always count on him to add to the conversation.  He cared deeply about the social justice issues that are a large part of this course. We will all miss him.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Danny, but he was a great friend to my son--strong, loyal, creative, and always positive.  He was tremendously talented and was deeply loved by his friends and family. Rest in Peace, Danny.

I had the pleasure of being Daniel’s
Tennis coach at Inglemoor. His senior year he was the captain of the JV team and he was the best captain I’ve ever had.  He was a great role model for the players and so helpful to me every day, always positive and willing to do whatever he could to help our team.  He was a wonderful young man..

Danny always brought a smile to Jane when sharing what they were all up to, always heard good things about him, and he seemed to be such an important listener and source of good advice for the group. Such a kind and gentle soul. Only briefly met him this homecoming dance pictures, but heard his name often in conversations & between giggles these past few years.
