

Helen Joyce Hull was born in Spokane, Washington, on May 4, 1935 and passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 5, 2014 at her home in Edmond's, Washington. Born Helen Joyce Mann, she grew up in Spokane and graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1953. She attended Washington State University where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. While at Lewis and Clark, Helen met the love of her life, Phil Hull, whom she married in 1955. They were happily married for 58 years until Phil's death in 2013. In addition to raising three children, Helen went back to college to obtain Bachelors and Masters degrees and had a successful 21-year career teaching business education at Everett High School. She enjoyed collecting cookbooks, gardening, reading and spending time with Phil at their second home in Tucson, Arizona. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, James and Helen Mann; husband, Phil; sister, Joan Kay; and grandson Zachary Houston Pavish. She is survived by brothers, Mike (Joann) Mann and Steve Mann; sisters, Patti (Dave) Knowles and Cindy (Gene) McIntosh; daughter, Carin (Tim) Pavish; sons, Bruce (Mary) Hull and Bill (Wendy) Hull, and grandchildren, Bruce Hull Jr., Andy Hull, McKenzie Pavish, Ben Pavish, Alex Hull, Evan Hull, and Hailey Hull. A small graveside service will be held for family members in November.
