Jayce was preceded in death by his father Frank “Bud” Guthrie and is survived by his loving mother, Gayle Guthrie, brother Payton Guthrie, his grandparents, many aunts, uncles, and cousins and his girlfriend Natalie Garcia.
Jayce was born on June 19, 2000, in Kirkland, Washington to Gayle and Frank Guthrie. He graduated from Juanita High School class of 2018 and went on to attend Washington State University where he graduated with a degree in Business Finance in 2022. Jayce joined Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and loved the social aspect of living with his friends and the brotherhood they shared.
In his youth, Jayce loved playing sports including soccer and football, but he ultimately chose to focus his talents on baseball. He was gifted and dedicated athlete and the consummate team player. He also enjoyed camping with his family, fishing, snow skiing, and boarding. He also took part in Cub Scouts and continued on to Boys Scouts.
As an adult, Jayce developed a passion for golf and could be seen golfing all year round at local courses. When he was not playing sports, you could find Jayce cheering on the Seahawks, Mariners, and Kraken teams. He also participated in fantasy football where he recently won his dynasty league.
Jayce was very social, always smiling and funny, and a good friend to all who knew him. Jayce was in the happiest time of his life. He had just moved into a nice apartment in Woodinville, was excelling at his job as an Assistant Operations Manager at a finance company where his boss shared that he was well liked and had a bright future at the company. He and Natalie had just adopted a rescue dog who brought much joy to their home and there was evidence that he was preparing to propose marriage to her.
Jayce’s warmth, quick wit, and smiling eyes brought joy into the lives of all that knew him. He will be deeply and forever missed.
You are invited to attend Jayce’s Celebration of Life on March 7, 2026, at 1:00 o'clock in the afternoon at Eastside Four Square Church, 14520 100th Avenue NE, Bothell, WA 98011
