Jean Raab, 92, of Seattle, WA passed away on December 5, 2019. She was born Ione Jean Crist in Richfield, Idaho on July 2, 1927, but always preferred to be called Jeannie. She was the youngest of 8 children, Otto, Clarence, Clifford, Mable, Alta, Erma and Dale, all have proceeded her in death.
The family moved to Eagle, Idaho where Jean graduated from Eagle High School in 1944. That same year, she married Jack Moore. They had two sons, Michael and Randy. She lost Randy in a motor cycle accident in 1964.
In 1951 she married Carroll Nicolls in Boise, Idaho and while living in Nebraska, they had a daughter, Dorey. In 1969 Jeannie met and married the love of her life, John Raab, in Seattle, WA. She was blessed with two loving step-children, Robin and Bill. John and Jean were married until 2001 when John left us too soon.
During Jean's working years she was a grocery checker. She worked with Joe Albertson at his first store in Boise, Idaho and in her final working years before retirement she worked at Safeway in the Admiral Junction neighborhood of Seattle .
She was a member of the White Center Eagle's Club, where she enjoyed activities and many friends.
The last years of her life she shared with Pat Byrnes, a caring companion and help mate in life. She lived the last months of her life at New Bright Adult Family Home under the care of Azeb and Jane. The Raab family is so thankful for the loving care given to her.
Jean is survived by her children, Michael Moore and wife Delia, Dorey York and husband Daniel, Robin Wright and husband Jeff, Bill Raab and wife Janet, grandchildren Darren and Jason, Michael and Holly, Sunny, John and Mary, great-grandchildren Mcguire, Trevor , Taylor, Tyson, Morgan, Cody and Mazzy.
