Jean was born in Beijing China June 1, 1947 and her family moved to Taiwan in 1949 where she grew up and earned her Bachelors degree in piano performance. Jean then came to America in 1977 where she earned a Masters degree in Piano Pedagogy from the University of North Carolina. She was an MTNA certified piano teacher and taught many award winning students in her private, home studio.
Jean had a passion for teaching and continued her education with such programs as The Well Prepared Pianist Institute. Under her tutelage and encouragement her students attended many local piano competitions as preparation for a lifetime of piano performance. She was well regarded by her colleagues and was often invited to adjudicate at various piano competitions.
Jean also had a passion for the Lord and contributed to such ministries as Daystar and Matt Sorger. She enjoyed studying the bible and attended church at the River of Life Fellowship in Kent Washington. She was also an excellent cook and housekeeper.
Jean is survived by her husband of 31 years, Harold Rosenkrans; her daughter Anna Chang and two grand-daughters; her son Peter Chang; her brother Joseph Chang (and wife Linda) and two nephews, and her mother Mei Chang.
Private funeral services for the immediate family and friends will be held at the Acacia Memorial Park on Oct 19, 2018 at 2:00 PM
