Joy L. Smith

Age 88, of Lake Forest Park, Washington passed away peacefully on Friday April 19, 2013 at her home in Sheridan Beach with her family by her side. She was born at the family homestead in Marysville, Washington to Martin and Laikney Lallemand. Joy lived most of her life with her husband Bill in the north end of Seattle.

Joy was an incredibly creative individual who designed various homes, exterior and interior renovations for herself and family members. She was an accomplished bridge player who participated in duplicate bridge on a regular basis. She and Bill enjoyed boating from their home on Lake Washington, annual Hawaiian vacations and cruise line vacations around the world.

Joy was very proud of her daughter, Marti, her son Terry and their spouses Denis and Cristy, who all live nearby. She loved family gatherings that included her grandchildren Shelli, Geoff and Josh and their children Ryder, Chase, Sadie and Zachary. Having lived in Sheridan Beach for over 60 years she maintained relationships with many of her neighbors for most of her life.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the members of Group Health Hospice and Evergreen Hospice Care for their dedicated effort to provide quality care over the last weeks of her life which was a heartwarming blessing to the entire family.

We thank God for the gift of her life and the blessing of the time we spent with her.
