Born on May 23, 1972, in Saigon, Vietnam, Katherine's life was a testament to resilience, love, and dedication.
As a young child, Katherine's family escaped Saigon during its fall, eventually settling in Washington State, where she would build her life and legacy.
A proud graduate of Juanita High School and the University of Washington, Katherine earned a degree in Business Administration. Her professional journey included roles at The Bon Marche, Macy's, and Tableau, where she applied her skills and work ethic.
Katherine's true passion was her family, particularly her children, Ethan and Emma. Her devotion to them was unwavering, with every moment dedicated to enriching their lives. Her love for travel, fine dining, entertainment, and shopping was matched only by her meticulous planning skills, often spending months organizing trips for her family and relatives.
Throughout her battle with cancer, Katherine displayed remarkable strength and selflessness. With the support of Evergreen Health, The University of Washington Medical Center, and Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center, she fought valiantly, enduring three surgeries and four rounds of chemotherapy. Even in her most challenging moments, Katherine prioritized protecting her family from the burden of her illness.
Katherine's life was a beautiful tapestry of courage, love, and unwavering dedication to her family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her strength, thoughtfulness, kindness, and joy she brought to those all around her.
Katherine is survived by her mother Thu-Van Thi Nguyen, father Minh Quang Ngo, husband Gordon Pyke, son Ethan Long Pyke, daughter Emma Quyen Pyke, brother AnhKiet Ngo and nephew Sage Sowards. Her memory will live on through the lives she touched and the love she shared.
