Lillian Fong, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away at the age of 84 on Sunday, July 17, 2016 in Everett, WA after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Toisan, China on November 28, 1931 to Fawn and Wai Chun. Lillian was a loving wife to Wesley Fong whom she married in 1954 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Together they raised seven children, in Canada during the early years and then in Seattle, WA. Lillian instilled a strong sense of family in each of her children and absolutely delighted in the many, many family gatherings and celebrations. Lillian embraced blending her Chinese and newly-adopted Western cultures and ensured that her family observed the customs and traditions of both. She had a passion for good food, travel, beautiful gardens, Chinese opera and American pop-rock tunes. Most of all, she loved her family.
Lillian is survived by her loving and doting husband of 61 years, Wesley, six daughters, one son and six grandchildren, all of whom adored her.
A celebration of Lillian’s life will be held on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Acacia Memorial Park at 1:00PM, with a reception dinner to follow at T&T Seafood Restaurant.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Lillian's name to www.lungcanceralliance.org or www.hospicefoundation.org.
