Maria Dores Santos

Born to Francisco de Matos and Adelaide dos Anjos (Correria) of Faial, Azores, Portugal. maria was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, aunt, and friend. Maria is the last sibling of 9 siblings in her immediate family.

She is survived by her daughter Ana Paula (son in law Frank Hudler). granddaughters Rachel and Carly Drechsler (liam Galloway spouse of Carly).

She was a very proud mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. Beloved sister of Adelaide Matos, Frank, Manuel, Joe, Tony, Cesar, Mario and Carlos.

Maria grew up tin Faial, Azores, taught 3rd grade in San Miguel, Azores, them immigrated with her 2 younger brothers and parents to Cambridge, Massachusetts. She worked at John Handcock Insurance for 33 years in Boston.

She had many friends in the "Recovery" support ground founded by Dr. Lowe, for people with Psychiatric illnesses.

Family would like to thank Dr. James Cahoun of Evergreen Hospital, Evergreen Hospice Nurse Zen, Jenn and Karlyn of Home healthcare Rehab, caregivers: Beatrice, Mary and Diana.

Funeral November 18th 2025, 10:30 am Christ the King Church 405 N. 117th st, Seattle WA 98117. Interment Anterson Cemetery 7630 Pioneer Highway, Stanwood WA 98292 following Mass.
