

Marjorie was born September 28, 1923 in Townsend, Montana to Hungarian immigrants John Sass and Anna Barlo, both of whom died when she was young. She grew up in nearby Winston with her sisters Ann, Erma, and twin Margaret. She was active in the USO during World War II, and later worked for Eastman Kodak and the Bon Marche store.
Marjorie met husband Alvin Zimmer in Seattle; they were married in 1949. They lived in Seattle's Lake City neighborhood for many years. Marjorie enjoyed knitting, bowling, needlepoint, and travelling.
Marjorie is survived by her sons Douglas, Ronald, and Richard, two grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
