She was born in Morillton Arkansas on February 22, 1920.Married for over 50 years to Albert E. Droullard a supervisor at Kenworth Truck Company who died in 1988.Mary Droullard worked during World War II in the Seattle shipyards as a welder and riveter, becoming one of the famous Rosie the Riveter women who substantially aided the war effort from home.
She later started a career in retail sales with Best Apparel eventually owned by Nordstrom. She worked at Nordstrom for 30 years until she retired.
She is survived by her only daughter Mary Jo Savage and her three grandchildren Greg Krueger, Doug Krueger and Jeff Krueger and six great-grandchildren. Known with affection by her family and close friends as GiGi.
Mary Droullard will be laid to rest in the mausoleum at the Forest Lawn Funeral home in West Seattle beside her late husband.
