She was born in Quezon City, Philippines, to mother Antonia Aninag Quiba and father Bernardo Ponce Quiba. She was a successful Boeing employee in her younger years, and worked her way up in the company in order for her to retire in her 30s. She then became a small business owner running a successful convalescent home, along with investing in multiple real estate properties. By her 50s, she fully retired and spent her time simply managing her properties, along with spending time with her husband, daughters, and grandchildren. She became a great-grandmother at 65.
She enjoyed gardening, watching her TFC teleseryes with her husband, playing computer games and exploring the wonders of Facebook. She loved trips to Tulalip with her husband and daughters. She loved giving advice to her grandchildren and watching her great-grandchildren crawl all around her living room blue carpet. She will be remembered for her life advice, her blunt statements, and the way she always made sure her hair was done and her lipstick was on before any photos. She was our family Matriarch.
MaryAnn is survived by her husband Elissey, her daughters Nerissa and Bella, her grandchildren Rosemaryann, Mark, Marissa, Markfroy, Leilani, Dariuse, Joshua, and Larissa, her great-grandchildren Jubilee, Mia, Quinn, Alara, Luis Mateo, Nayel and other family and friends. She is now reunited with her loving daughter Theresa.
The memorial service will be held on May 6th, 2022, from 1pm to 2pm, at Acacia Memorial Park & Funeral Home at 14951 Bothell Way NE, Seattle, WA 98155. There will be an open visit immediately following from 2pm to 5pm.
