
Michael David Dye, age 64 of Seattle WA, passed away peacefully on Saturday November 5, 2022. The first son of Gary and Marilyn Dye, Edmonds WA. Michael was born on May 20, 1958. He is survived by his daughter Lydia, former wife Theresa, father Gary, brothers Paul, Mark & Moore, lifelong friend and cousin John Nelson as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. Growing up in Edmonds Michael attended Woodway high school graduating in 1976. He attended Central Washington University and the University of Washington. His passion took him north to the waters of Alaska where he pursued his career in commercial Halibut fishing. He was a member of the Deep-Sea Fisherman’s Union of the Pacific and served on their committees. Michael worked on several Halibut Schooners from Ballard WA, part of the Pacific Fleet. He loved returning to the shipyards and took to heart his fishing heritage with family members before him. He enjoyed listening and learning about music and spent many hours pursuing his hobby. We will always love and miss you Michael, as we know you are with God, Family, and Friends enjoying eternal peace with those who have passed before you. A gathering for interment will be announced shortly.
