On Friday, June 22nd 2012 at 5:56am our father Puni Mikaele Sr. went home to be with his Savior Lord Jesus Christ in heaven.
First born of Finau Lagafuina Asi, he led an exemplary life in service to his family, his country and its people. After he graduated from Marist Brothers Catholic School (American Samoa) he, like his father Rev. Falo Tiamalu, joined the armed forces. Marine raised he served in the Vietnam War where he received for his acts of valor the Silver Star, the Bronze Star, the Navy Achievement Medal and the Purple Heart.
Puni Mikaele Sr. is survived by his everliving God, his devoted wife Vallerie May Mikaele, his children Fa’aniniva, Peter, Puni Jr., Vincent, Fetalaiga, Alvin, Michael, and his special little girl Kassandra. Many wonderful grandchildren and many loving brothers and sisters to whom he loved very much.
Family Services will be held on Sunday June 8th at Northwest University, Butterfield Chape 5520 108th Ave Kirkland Wa. 98033. Open services will be held and NU on Monday July 10, 2012 at 10 am. His final resting place will be at Tahoma National 18600 Southeast Street, Kent Wa. 98042 at 2:15 pm.
