

Ralph Fred Henning, age 94, passed peacefully February 11, 2026 surrounded by family. Ralph was born and raised in Seattle, graduated from Lincoln High School and the UW, receiving a degree in Civil Engineering . He worked 40 years with the WA State Department of Transportation. His last major project to retirement was the I-90 Floating Bridge.
He met Laurreine and they were married for 60 years before Laurreine's passing. Ralph enjoyed camping, fly sighing, gardening and spending time with his family. He was also an active member in their Presbyterian Church. Being a civil engineer, he was frequently involved in home improvement projects including two additions to their home in Broadview. He was also an avid Husky fan and never missed a game. He spent the last decade of his life at Quail Park o Lynnwood where he enjoyed many activities and friendships.
Ralph is survived by his three children Laurie (John), Steven (Susan) and Lisa (Tommy). He is loved dearly by his seven grandchildren: Julianne (Chandler), Allison (Chris), Mackenzie, Michael, Sarah, Emily and Hailey. His most recent additions are his three great grandchildren Remi, Quinn and Logan who loved their "Great Bapa Ralph". He treasured the time spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Ralph, a man of faith, was a devoted husband and father whose quiet, humble disposition brightened many lives. He leaves behind a strong legacy and example for those that knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a favorite charity.
A celebration of his life will be held March 21st, 2026 at 1:00 pm and Quail Park of Lynnwood.
