Ronald Cochran Eader

He graduated from Roosevelt H.S in 1942, and the University of Washington in 1950, where he was an Alpha Delta. He served in the Navy as a 1st Class Petty Officer and USAF 2nd Lieutenant in WWII.

Ron was the principal owner of an Insurance Brokerage firm, Dougan, Eader, Reynolds & Wheeler (DER & W), which specialized in Marine & Employee Benefits. Ron was past president of DER & W, Rollins Burdick & Hunter. He was a member of the Seattle Golf and Country Club and the Springs Country Club in Rancho Mirage, CA.

He was preceded in death by his wife "Irish" Patricia Ann Hallock in 1990. Ron is survived by his wife Jill Hocker, his two son's Ronald and Randall, two daughters Cheri and Laurie and his brother Leonard L. Hays.

Ron was deeply devoted to his family and friends where the words compassion, generosity, respect and love were at the forefront of decisions and actions. He was well known for his love of knowledge, storytelling and crowd stopping jokes. He gave new meaning to the term gentleman and never lacked in kindness, generosity or integrity.

Memorial Service will be held at 1 pm at University Presbyterian Church in Seattle followed by a reception at Seattle Golf Club at 3 pm on Wednesday, June 15, 2011.

Memorials can be made to Providence Cancer Research Center in Portland, OR, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Sound Mental Health.
