Suzanne Marie Regamey Hagen
September 1, 1925 – July 13, 2013
Suzanne Marie Regamey Hagen died peacefully on July 13th at the age of 87. She brought much joy and love to everyone she met. Suzanne Marie was born in Santa Rosa, California, in 1925, and she graduated from UC Berkeley in 1945, with a degree in French Foreign Relations.
Suzanne was married to her beloved husband, Alf Reidar Hagen, for almost 50 years. They met and were married (in 1948) in San Francisco, and because of her husband’s 20-year Naval career, they lived in South Carolina, Hawaii and San Diego, before moving to Seattle in 1957.
Suzanne is survived by her three children, Kris, Eric and David, and her son-in-law Ross and daughter-in-law Candace, 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a sister, Nancy and several nephews and nieces.
Suzanne loved to volunteer and help others, and she loved her family. She also enjoyed ballroom dancing, square dancing, music and tutoring children. Suzanne was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to have her in their lives.
A memorial service will be held at Bethel Lutheran Church on July 28, 2013 at 6:00 pm, with a reception following in the church fellowship hall. Gifts in memory of Suzanne may be given to Bethel Lutheran Church, Habitat for Humanity, Alzheimer’s research, or Hospice of Seattle (cremation will be at Acacia Funeral Home).
