Thelma Fern Davis

Thelma married Alva I Davis on 16 Feb. 1942 in (Salem, Ind) who preceded her in death in 2001.

The eldest of 9 children, she is survived by a brother Gerald Pixley of Fredericksberg, VA, and sister Donna Morris of Phoenix, AZ.

Thelma worked in munitions factories during WWII, then years later at Boeing Aircraft. She became an LPN working at the Firland Sanatorium facility. Finally settling in as a stay at home wife, she enjoyed being with her husband, and daughters. After Alva’s retirement they enjoyed their travel trailer excursions.

Ms. Davis accepted Christ as a young woman, and remained active in Church throughout her life. Her friendly smile and compassion will be missed by her Glen Acres Church family.

She is also survived by 2 daughters, Carolyn (Victor) Embry, Patricia (Eugene) Ridge of Colorado Springs, three grandchildren: Michelle Ridge of Colorado, Gayle Embry of Renton, WA, and Max Embry of Floyd Knobs, Indiana, and a great-granddaughter Ashlyn Disch of Colorado.
