Walter Paul Hansen, age 87, of Silverado Senior Living in Everett, passed away March 16th, 2014. Walter spent the last 60 years in the Seattle area as an aeronautical engineer for Boeing. Born in New York City, he went on after high school to attend and graduate from the Merchant Marine Academy. After working two years for the Merchant Marines, he attended the University of Illinois and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering with high honors. He is survived by his three children, Carol Flikkema (Mel), Ron Hansen (Janet), and Joanne Pfeifer; ex-wife, June Hansen-Meyer. Walt was eager to enter his heavenly home and “loved the Lord Jesus above all on earth.” Services will be held at Acacia Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 19th with visitation at 12pm followed by a service at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Providence Hospice of Snohomish County.
