Willard Alfred Meyers, 91, passed away November 26, 2014. Funeral services will be held at Forest Lawn Dec. 8 with viewing at 10:00 a.m. and service at 11:00, followed by a reception. Interment will be at Holyrood Cemetery, Dec. 9 at 11:00 a.m.
Willard was born October 28, 1923 in rural Wisconsin to William and Elsie (Roloff) Meyers and served with honor in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Blanche, and brother Norman. Bill (Willie) was loved and cherished by his sister-in-laws Ethel Taylor, Irene Tack and Lillian Schimmer; nephew David Tack and nieces Connie Bryan, Patricia Sanderson, Nancy King, Jan Taylor, Cyndie Taylor, Carol Evans and Kay Grigg. He was also loved by his many “adopted” children, grandchildren, neighbors and friends. Bill was a fun, kind, generous man and will be greatly missed.
