It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to Dr. William Crawford Stewart 2. A compassionate physician, seasoned sailor, avid motorcyclist and wordsmith extraordinaire. Dr. Stewart, aged 84, departed this world, but left with us a legacy of healing, tenacity, righteousness and virtue.
With a distinguished career spanning over five decades in medicine, Dr. Stewart touched innumerable lives with his vast expertise and unwavering commitment to humbly serve his professional purpose with empathy and integrity.
Beyond the hospitals and medical clinics of Seattle’s First Hill, Dr. Stewart found joy and solace in navigating open waters while sailing as well as a sense of unparalleled freedom while motorcycling.
Dr. Stewart’s intellectual curiosity reached far beyond medicine; he harbored an insatiable interest in the language arts. He was quick to challenge himself, and to encourage others to enrich their own minds while feeling no fear of judgement. His linguistic prowess was a reflection of his everlasting need for self-improvement and his desire to elevate others was apparent.
As we mourn the physical loss of a beloved physician, intellectual, adventure seeker, and family man, let us celebrate the life of Dr. Bill Stewart, a man whose impact spread far past the confines of his professional life. May his imperturbable nature, compassionate heart and thirst for growth and development inspire us always.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Julie, 5 beautiful children, Kimberley, Matthew (Theresa), Christopher, Cameron (Dorianna), and Quinton. As well as 2 delightful granddaughters, Aiyana and Emma
His favorite quote was: If It Is To Be It Is Up To Me To Do It.
