Alfred La Sala 74 of Secaucus passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2019 at the Hudson Regional Hospital.
Al was born in Jersey City and has resided in Secaucus for many years.
Al was a Deputy Chief for the Jersey City Fire Department for 44 years before retiring in 2009. He was also an avid bird watcher and stamp collector.
He was an Army Veteran and faithfully served his country during the Vietnam War.
Al was predeceased by his wife Denise La Sala who died in 2017.
He is survived by his daughters Christine La Sala Francione; Susan and her husband Vito Vittoria; and Jennifer La Sala and her fiancée Donald Maiorino; his grandchildren Julia, Loren and Joseph.
Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 4 to 8 PM at the Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus. Entombment will be held at the Memorial Park Mausoleum in St. Petersburg, Florida.

I didn’t know Al La Sala long enough He was my neighbor in St. Petersburg Florida He was the nicest kindest guy He would invite you to break bread him always and he could sit down and talk to you about anything and make it sound exciting He loved his family and they loved him more He will be missed a lot Rest in Al !!

I am so sorry. Al La Sala and I were such good friends and I didn't find out until just now. Too late. My condolences to the family. he will truly be missed. We spent some wonderful summers down LBI with Bonnie and Rich Sachinis and Al's heart, his beloved wife. May you both R.I.P. 😭

Besides seeing you at your girls' birthdays , communions, etc I always have vivid memories of running into in Jacob's. You always stopped to say hello and ask how the family was. You often looked tired but that was understandable for a Fireman. I know the heartbreak your girls are feeling. RIP.
