Beloved Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, and Friend
September 13, 1970 – April 29, 2025
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Annie Margarita Amador, age 54, who departed this life on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Born in Cuba on September 13, 1970, Annie spent her formative years in Panama, where she attended high school. At the age of 18, she immigrated to the United States, embracing new opportunities with determination and grace. Her journey led her to Robert Enterprises, where she began as a secretary. It was there that she met Ricardo “Ricky” Amador, the love of her life. Their courtship was filled with adventure and deep affection, culminating in their marriage in 2003. Together, they built a life rooted in love, laughter, and shared dreams.
Annie was the devoted mother of two cherished sons: Lorenzo, currently a freshman in Ramapo College, and Brandon, 17, whose life with autism was enriched immeasurably by Annie’s unwavering dedication and love. She poured her heart into creating a nurturing and joyful home, filled with memorable dinners, vacations, and traditions that will be treasured forever.
A pillar of strength and compassion, Annie was also a devoted daughter to her mother, Margarita, and a caring daughter-in-law to her mother-in-law Cusa and father-in-law Roberto. She was predeceased by her beloved father Rafael, whose memory she held dear. Annie’s bond with her brother, Sandro and sister-in-law May, was marked by deep affection and mutual respect. She also leaves behind beloved nieces Jenessy, Zorena and nephews Jonathan, David, Bobby and Gabriel, who will always remember her warmth and spirited nature.
Annie’s zest for life was evident in her love for dancing, savoring delicious meals and fine wine, and capturing moments through photography. She was the light of every gathering, infusing joy and energy into every occasion. Her friendships were deep and enduring, especially with whom she shared countless brunches, adventures, and vacations.
Her legacy is one of unconditional love, resilience, and a life lived with exuberance and purpose. To know Annie was to experience genuine kindness, infectious joy, and a spirit that uplifted everyone around her. Her absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but her essence will forever resonate in the hearts of those she touched.
A celebration of Annie’s life will be held on Friday May 2, 2025 from 4pm-8pm at Leber Funeral Home 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ 07094.
