David P. Lamere

David P, LaMere of Rutherford, formerly of Secaucus, born & raised in Weehawken passed away after a brave and courteous battle with colon cancer surrounded by his family and friends on Sunday September 4, 2011. David is survived by his beloved wife Kathy (Haerle) LaMere of 31 years, his mother Rose LaMere, his devoted daughters Melissa Liuzzi and her husband Derek, Diana Fleischhauser and her husband Curt and Vanessa Hablitz and her husband Randy. Loving grandfather of Tyler Liuzzi, Brianna & Paige Fleischhauer and Hailey & Dylan Hablitz. David took pride in his grandchildren and loved hanging out and playing with them. They were the love of his life. Dear brother of Donna Blauvelt and her husband Robert and the late Daniel LaMere (1998) and Diane LaMere (1958). David is also survived by his uncle Harold Petersen and aunt Michele Petersen, his favorite nephew & godson Andrew Blauvelt, nieces Allison & Stacy Blauvelt, cousins Cindy & Carole Petersen and his best friend of over 40 years Sean Boyle. David is also predeceased by his grandmother Lillian Petersen (1982) and his Aunt Rose White (1995). David worked for UBS in Jersey City from 1991 until 2009 as a IT Senior Project Manager. David loved to travel all over the Carribbean by cruise ship. His hobby of cruise ships started when he was 18 and has sailed on over 100 cruises with his loving wife & children. He got so much joy taking his family on cruise ships and showing them all the islands. His favorite island was Bermuda. David was an active member of Immaculate Conception Church in Secaucus, NJ. The family will receive relatives and friends today from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Thursday at Immaculate Conception Church (Everyone please meet at the church). Entombment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of David may be made to The Colon Cancer Challenge Foundation, PO Box 20722, Floral Park, NY 11002.
