

Doris Doyle, a lifelong resident of Secaucus, passed away in the very home where she was born. This rare and beautiful full circle that reflected her deep roots in family, faith, and community. A devoted daughter,sister,wife ,mother, Nannie, and Gigi. Doris lived a life centered on love, tradition, and quiet devotion.
Born in Secaucus to the late Ernest and Josephine Braun, Doris was the daughter of Swiss immigrants who made Secaucus their home and instilled in her the enduring values of family, humility, and faith.
A faithful and active parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church in Secaucus, Doris was a dedicated member of the choir and Rosary Society, where her kindness, gentle spirit, and warm presence touched many.
Doris proudly embraced her Swiss heritage, especially through cherished family traditions. She lovingly baked Zopf bread (a traditional Swiss bread) for special occasions, a tradition that became a symbol of togetherness for her family. She loved sharing her recipe with her granddaughters, teaching them how to braid the dough while repeating her familiar and treasured instructions, “Right over left, left over right.”
She also expressed her love through the countless blankets she crocheted for each of her grandchildren and loved ones as gifts made stitch by stitch that provided warmth, comfort, and a lasting reminder of her care and devotion.
She was the beloved wife of Joseph E. Doyle; the loving mother of Joseph Doyle and his wife Mary, and Patrice Arguelles and her husband Armando.
Doris was a cherished Nannie to Jackie,Stephanie, Katie, Amy, and AJ, and a proud Gigi to Leah, Matthew, Liliana, Kieran , Haley, Claire, Nicolas, and Marina. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by her family, creating a lifetime of memories filled with warmth.
Doris will be remembered for her strength, unwavering faith, and the comfort she brought to all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the traditions she passed down, the faith she carried, and the family she treasured.
Surrounded by love once more, Doris is reunited in heaven with her beloved parents, treasured loved ones, and her dear Joe.
A visitation for Doris will be held at Mack Memorial Home, located at 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ, on February 24, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Immaculate Conception RC Church, 1219 Paterson Plank Rd, Secaucus, NJ, on February 25, at 10:45 am. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
