Henry J. Sundvik Jr.

Henry & Lillian Sundvik; grandfather of Dennis Karst, Paul Pfiel; devoted friend of 65 years of William Ennis and cousin of Mildred Errico. Henry was born & educated in Jersey City. He served his country in the United States Air Force in the Korean War. He was a graduate of William L. Dickinson High School, Jersey City, Junior College and The College of William & Mary. Henry was an educator in New Jersey & Louisiana where he taught math and history. He traveled extensively in the United States visiting compiling research on Medal of Honor recipients. Following his retirement from teaching, Henry owned and operated a book store in Lyndhurst, NJ. He was an avid reader of history until diminished eyesight from diabetes. Henry was a senior member of the Order of DeMolay, a fraternal organization for young men. He was also Past Master of Adoniram Lodge No.80, Lyndhurst, Masonic Club of Lyndhurst, Order of Amaranth, Lyndhurst and Rutherford Chapter, Order of Eastern Star. Visitation will be Friday June 1, 2012 from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM with an 8 PM Masonic Service conducted by Adoniram Lodge at Mack Memorial Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ. The family will meet their relatives and friends for a Funeral Service on Saturday June 2, 2012 at 10:30 AM at Old Bergen Church,1 Highland Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07306
