Jesse Kitson

Born in Douglas, Georgia, on October 15th, 1951, to the late Myrtle and Earl Ray Kitson. Jesse lived in Douglas until he joined the Air Force after high school. He served in Vietnam and spent 14 and a half years in the Air Force, and worked 20 years for the state of Delaware.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Betty Kitson (Prevot), his sons Jesse Earl Jr. and his wife, Jennifer, Brian Kitson and his wife, Cheyenne, Keith and his wife, April, Robert and his girlfriend, Kelly, and his Daughter, Caitlin Piccione, and his cat, Max. He also leaves behind 11 Grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. He worked tirelessly since 1997 with the VFW to help veterans, serving as past state commander of Delaware from 2001 to 2002. He was also a member of the MOC, where he was Supreme Adjutant, Grand Commander for the Grand of New Jersey and Delaware. And Grand Quartermaster for the Grand of New Jersey and Delaware.

A visitation for Jesse will be held Sunday, August 24, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Leber Funeral Home, 1245 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, New Jersey 07094. A funeral service will occur Monday, August 25, 2025, from 11:00 to 11:30 AM, 1245 Paterson Plank Rd, Secaucus, New Jersey 07094. The committal service will follow at Brigadier General Doyle Veterans Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd, Wrightstown, NJ 08652.
